Service Overviews

The Center for Counseling & Victims' Services (CCVS) is a program, but it is also a suite of offices in the Justice Services Building that houses many functions working together to provide comprehensive services.

Here is a brief overview of the services you'll find at the Center:

Center for Counseling & Victims' Services - CCVS

The Center for Counseling & Victims' Services (CCVS) is a program of Washington County Community Corrections and provides free counseling services to the community.  Though we do have an emphasis on helping crime victims restore their lives, we are able to provide counseling services to anyone in the community who is within our scope of practice.

We also have two victim advocates who assist victims with post-conviction or no-conviction needs.

Graduate Intern Counseling Program

The counseling services at CCVS are provided by graduate students who are enrolled in local counseling masters programs.  CCVS interns receive excellent supervision and exposure to a wide variety of counseling issues, and our site has become a top choice for internship.  Our competitive selection process ensures that clients receive the best services we can provide.

Partner Programs

CCVS also houses two non-profit programs:

Safety First Supervised Visitation Program:  Provides supervised child visitation to families where a parent has a history of abusing his/her partner but where the court and/or other authorities believe supervised visits are beneficial.

Family Mentor Program:  Provides supportive services to children and families who have justice-involved parents.

As you can see, we have quite a network here in CCVS.  We're happy to answer any questions you may have about our services and programs.
