COVID-19 Update - The Office of Community Development will be open to public (physical) access each week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning June 2, 2020. There will be limited staff available on these days to assist with in-person services, and the public is encouraged to use other remote communication methods if possible.  Staff and visitors will practice physical distancing and use of face covering is recommended during in-person visits. All staff remain available by phone and email. The Wood Stove Exchange Program continues to be suspended until further notice. The Housing Rehabilitation programs will begin limited operations starting June 1, 2020. The public can also be assisted by calling 503-846-8814 or by emailing cdbg@co.washington.or.us

The Office of Community Development administers the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), and the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) for Washington County.

The Washington County Office of Community Development is overseen by a Policy Advisory Board which makes decisions regarding the use of the Federal funds that the office administers through the HOME and CDBG programs.  

The Board meets once a month on the second Thursday of the month (September being the exception where they meet on the third Thursday).  The meeting typically starts at 7pm with some exceptions, please see the agenda posted below for time and location.

Agendas for the meetings are posted one week prior to the meeting date both in the Public Service Building and on this website.
