The Washington County District Attorney's Office is now accepting applications for the position of Deputy District Attorney I. This position will be in the misdemeanor criminal prosecution unit. The position is responsible for all aspects of the prosecution of criminal cases, including charging decisions, case management, negotiations, and trials. Starting salary range is $6175 to $7502 per month, depending on experience.

Practicing attorneys who are interested in a career of meaningful public service with significant amounts of trial and courtroom opportunities are encouraged to apply. Practicing attorneys with experience outside of criminal court are invited to apply.

Applicants for this position must have a J.D. and either be a member of the Oregon State Bar, or be sitting for the February Oregon Bar exam.

- Transcripts from both undergrad and law school
- 3 letters of recommendation (at least 2 from attorneys or judges)
