Animal Care

Washington County

Washington County Fairgrounds is sheltering animals owned by those who have been evacuated due to wildfires.

RV and camp sites are available for owners of animals who wish to stay onsite.

The Washington County Sheriff's Posse and 4-H Livestock volunteers are providing care for animals overnight for owners who are unable to remain onsite. No additional volunteers are needed for animal care, as the 4-H Livestock volunteers are covered by Washington County insurance and have livestock experience.

Local agricultural businesses have been extremely generous in donating feed and livestock supplies. For more information on care and resources for lifestock and/or pets, visit Animal Services.
