Medicare Assistance

Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance (SHIBA) is a statewide program providing free, unbiased help understanding options with Medicare benefits. SHIBA volunteers are trained, certified counselors who help current and new Medicare beneficiaries make informed decisions about their health and prescription drug plan choices. More information is also available at shiba.oregon.gov.

Walk-in Medicare counseling is available beginning in May of 2022 at the following locations:

  • Hillsboro Senior Center on the second Wednesday of the month from 12-2 p.m.
  • Marjorie Stewart Senior Center on the second Wednesday of the month from 12-2 p.m.
  • Elsie Stuhr Center on the third Wednesday of the month from 12-2.
