Developmental Disabilities

Notice: VACCINE Q&A:Q: I am an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities, or I’m a parent or live-in caregiver supporting an individual with I/DD. How do I sign up for a vaccine?Metro-area counties have partnered with local health systems to ensure access to vaccines for individuals who are in Phase 1A, which includes individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or live-in caregivers or parents supporting individuals with I/DD. Washington County Developmental Disabilities has submitted information to this metro-area partnership to connect people who are enrolled in Developmental Disabilities services in Washington County, as well as their parents and caregivers, to vaccination opportunities as they become available. Your Services Coordinator will inform you about these vaccination opportunities via email or a phone call. You can also check www.co.washington.or.us/vaccine for updates.Q: I live in a group home or adult foster care home. When will I get a vaccine?  Washington County DD group homes and some foster care homes were put on the Federal Pharmacy Partnership list. This means local pharmacies will contact individual group home and foster home providers to coordinate vaccinations onsite. Adult foster care homes that were not on the Federal Pharmacy Partnership list are being connected locally in Washington County to a vaccine resource to conduct vaccinations onsite. Our DD foster care licensors are currently contacting all adult and child DD foster care providers to get signed up to be connected to a local vaccine resource.
