Resident Advisory Board

The Resident Advisory Board provides the valued perspective of community members living in public housing or participating in the Section 8 voucher program.  The Resident Advisory Board provides input and advice regarding significant Housing Authority of Washington County (HAWC) policy decisions and its annual agency plans and Moving to Work initiatives.

The Resident Advisory Board is composed of members who are living in public housing or participating in the Section 8 voucher program.  Membership is aimed to include representative diversity of age, disability, family composition, race, ethnicity and gender.  Members serve a two-year or three-year term and are encouraged to re-apply after their term ends.

The Resident Advisory Board meets quarterly to focus on plans or initiatives proposed by the agency, to review topics suggested by members, or to hear from guest speakers.  Current meetings will be held virtually via Zoom, until COVID safety can be ensured.
