2022 Affordable Housing Property Tax Exemption Application
The application process opens on Feb. 1, 2022. Applications are due by March 1, 2022 - they must be turned in by this date, not postmarked. Deliver or send applications to:
Washington County Assessment and Taxation, 155 N. First Avenue, Suite 200, Hillsboro, OR 97124
If hand-delivering, Assessment and Taxation is in the Public Services Building.
Upon processing by A&T, applications are delivered to Housing Services for full review and approval. We'll inform you of the results by April 1, 2022.

Nonprofits and charitable institutions with rental property affordable to households at 60% MFI and under in unincorporated Washington County may be eligible for property tax exemption. There is an annual application process for property tax exemption that typically begins in February, with applications due in March. Participation by HAWC or its wholly owned affiliate in a Limited Partnership may make property eligible for ad valorem tax exemption pursuant to Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) 307.092.
