Washington County Building Services has records on permits in our computer system from 1989 to current date and on microfiche from the 1970's.
All records are kept in compliance with the State of Oregon Archive requirements:
Building permits, inspection records and Certificate of Occupancy are kept for the life of the structure. (Washington County maintains these records on microfiche which are available in our office for public viewing and copying for a fee.)
You may search for building permits online by using the permit number, address, tax map ID, or by name on our "Look up my permit" site.
Residential homes: Building plans are kept for 2 years from the final approved inspection date according to the state statute (If the permit was issued and structure completed, 2 years after substantial completion).
Non-Residential, Commercial Buildings: Building plans are kept for 10 years from the final approved inspection date according to the state statute (If the permit was issued and structure completed, 10 years after substantial completion).
