A new member joined the Rural Roads Operations and Maintenance Advisory Committee (RROMAC) on Jan. 14. Kristine Kennedy is the owner of Highway Heavy Hauling, a Multnomah County-based trucking company. She serves on the city of Portland Freight Committee, Motor Carrier Transportation Advisory Committee and the Oregon Department of Transportation Mobility Committee.

For the fourth consecutive year, a Washington County Land Use & Transportation Building Services employee has been honored by the Oregon Building Officials Association (OBOA). Derrick Moon, LUT Building Services Supervisor, was named OBOA’s State of Oregon Supervisor of the Year during the organization’s annual meeting in August. This morning (Nov. 3), Moon was honored during the Washington County Board County Board of Commissioners meeting for his achievement.
