Pedestrian crossings selected for survey, design - Release date: 09/12/2017
Eight pedestrian crossings on 170th and 185th avenues and Baseline Road have been selected for survey and design work for future improvements through the Arterial Pedestrian Crossing Analyses project.

Basalt Creek Parkway, a new 0.7-mile road between Grahams Ferry and Tonquin roads, opens to traffic at 6 a.m. Monday (August 14).

10th Avenue will be closed Aug. 14-Dec. 12 between Holladay and Adair streets for road widening and safety improvements.

A portion of 185th Avenue, north of Springville Road, will be closed Aug. 14-Sept. 14 as part of the Springville Road project.

Road crews prepared for pavement ‘bleeding’ - Release date: 07/31/2017
This week’s anticipated heat wave could result in pavement bleeding. "Bleeding" is the term used for the shiny, oily-looking film of asphalt binder that appears on a road during prolonged periods of high temperatures. Bleeding can cause roads to become somewhat slippery, which road crews control by applying sand.
