The Capital Services Division/Right-of-Way Section of Washington County Department of Land Use & Transportation (LUT) has been named the 2018-19 Employer of the Year by the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) Chapter 3.

Jim Lingeman, IRWA Region 7 Chair, presented the award to Tara Heesacker, LUT Right-of-Way Supervisor, during the Aug. 6 Washington County Board of Commissioners Meeting.

“I continue to appreciate the support that Washington County gives to our LUT right-of-way professionals who do exceptional work to provide our constituents with outstanding service every day,” Heesacker said.

The Capital Project Services Division/Right-of-Way Section demonstrates dedication to quality performance, team focus, strong employee support, commitment and participation at the chapter, regional and international IRWA levels.

Lingeman said Heesacker’s participation in Chapter 3 activities played a key role in the chapter’s award recognition.

“Tara obviously has a huge amount of employer support,” Lingeman said. “This makes Washington County (LUT) really stand out. Washington County embodies the mission of our organization: We improve people’s quality of life through infrastructure development.”
