Significant Natural ResourcesVisit the Significant Natural Resources Online Open House to comment on Washington County’s Draft Significant Natural Resources Program Review and Assessment.

The Washington County Board of Commissioners directed the Department of Land Use & Transportation planning staff to prepare this assessment in response to community questions regarding implementation of regulations and protections for significant natural resources. The assessment provides an in-depth review of the County’s Goal 5 requirements, particularly for the urban area.

The online open house provides an opportunity for the public to review background information on Goal 5, the assessment’s key findings and options to address them, and an opportunity to provide feedback on some of those findings and options.

The online open house closes at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25.  View the assessment and appendices.

Washington County is committed to planning and protecting the uses of the land -- balancing care for the natural environment, economic development, safety and community livability.
