Visit a Washington County Transportation Plan Open House on June 13, 14 or 25

For Immediate Release: Thursday, June 07, 2012

Sponsored by: Department of Land Use and Transportation

Washington County is studying the current transportation system and how it could change to better meet the long-term needs of the County's residents, businesses, and visitors. The result of this study will be an updated Transportation System Plan (TSP) that will include all transportation modes, including freight, pedestrians and bicyclists, transit, rail networks and motor vehicles.

Andrew Singelakis, Director of Land Use and Transportation, noted that "the Transportation System Plan is the long-term roadmap for where future transportation facilities will be built and what they will look like. The more people who are engaged in this process, the more closely the end result will reflect the community's desires."
