170th Avenue and Farmington Road Intersection Safety Improvements
Project Description
Two pedestrian islands will be installed on the northeast and southwest corners of the 170th Avenue and Farmington Road intersection.
Other improvements include:
- Shorter crosswalks
- ADA-compliant ramps
- Pedestrian crossings with push buttons
- Upgraded traffic signal reflectors and software upgrades
The 170th Avenue and Farmington Road intersection currently has skewed crosswalks, creating long distances for pedestrians. Traffic signals can be difficult to see in some conditions. This project will increase safety by addressing these issues.
Funding Information
This approximately $900,000 project is funded through County's Road Capital Fund and the Oregon Department of Transportation's (ODOT) All Roads Transportation Safety (ARTS) program.
