25th Avenue and Cornell Road Intersection

Project Description

The Cornell Road and 25th Avenue are highly used arterial roads in Hillsboro. The intersection is congested during peak hours and under capacity for projected growth in this area.

This project will change the design of the intersection to improve traffic flow.

Improvements include:

  • Adding dedicated turn lanes from southbound 25th Avenue onto Cornell Road.
  • Bicycle lanes.
  • Improved street lights and traffic signals.

Funding Information

The $5,900,000 project is funded through the County's Major Streets and Transportation Program (MSTIP 3d) and in partnership with city of Hillsboro and the Port of Portland.
