Cornell Road (102nd Avenue to 113th Avenue)

Project Information:

Cornell Road, east of Cedar Hills Boulevard/113th Avenue, experiences more than 16,000 vehicle trips a day with peak hours reaching 1,600 vehicles. This results in moderate to severe congestion during the morning and afternoon peak periods. Cornell Road, between 102nd and 113th avenues, lacks a center turn lane and continuous bicycle and pedestrian facilities.

This project will widen Cornell Road to three lanes, and will signalize the 107th Avenue intersection. Additional improvements include continuous sidewalk-and-bicycle facilities, street lighting and storm drainage upgrades.

Funding Information:

This $6.8 million project is funded through the County's Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP). The total project cost includes the estimated cost of design, right-of-way and construction and is subject to change.
