Cornell Road (102nd Avenue to 113th Avenue)
Cornell Road, east of Cedar Hills Boulevard/113th Avenue, experiences more than 16,000 vehicle trips a day with peak hours reaching 1,600 vehicles. This results in moderate to severe congestion during the morning and afternoon peak periods.
This project will widen Cornell Road to three lanes, one lane in each direction with a center turn lane, and will signalize the 107th Avenue intersection. Additional improvements include continuous sidewalk and bicycle facilities, street lighting and storm drainage upgrades.
This $6.8 million project is funded through the County's Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP). The project cost includes the estimated cost of design, right-of-way and construction and is subject to change.
