Get Involved

How can I get involved with the Washington County Sheriff's Office?

There are three great ways to get involved while supporting law enforcement in our community:

  • Volunteers perform a variety services for the Sheriff's Office including administrative support, acting as jail or patrol reserve deputies, posse members, chaplain services, and Explorer Post members, as well as many other great opportunities.

But what if you don't have spare time to volunteer . . .

  • Learn about issues facing your community.  Gain the knowledge needed to influence our community.  What do you know about drug trends? jail overcrowding? the Public Safety Local Option levy? Sheriff's Office operations?

  • Financial Support or Donations for Sheriff's Office Programs.

Please note: Candidates must never have been lodged in the Washington County Jail to participate in our Volunteer Program.

We welcome you to join us as a volunteer.  Check out the links at the left for more information on various programs.  We will be talking soon!
