CALEA Public Hearing Registration - May 28 2:30-4:30 pm
Due to COVID-19, the Washington County Sheriff's Office will be one of the first agencies in the country to undergo a virtual inspection by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agenices (CALEA).
Sheriff Pat Garrett is inviting members of the community to comment on the agency's ability to meet professional law enforcement standards. A public hearing is scheduled via Zoom on Thursday, May 28 from 2:30 to 4:30 PM PDT.
How to Testify
To provide public testimony via oral communication or to have your comments read into the public record, please e-mail the following information to firstname.lastname@example.org up to 24 hours prior to the meeting. Please note "CALEA Public Comments" in the subject line of the email.

In order to provide public testimony, you must be logged into the Zoom meeting online or by phone at the start of the meeting. Please be prepared to provide testimony at any time during the public hearing. When it is time for you to provide public testimony, your name will be called and your phone/micorphone will be unmuted by the facilitator and you will need to state your name for the record. Visitors are encouraged to speak from a prepared statement to ensure best use of their 10 minutes to speak. If any registered speaker is not available, the facilitator will call the next person in the lineup.
