Washington County realizes that for employees to perform at their full potential, they must also take steps to ensure their continued physical and mental health and meet other personal needs.
In many cases, Employee Leave not only refers to employees who hold regular full or part-time positions. Qualifying employees that are on-call or temporary are provided leave through State and Federal Leave Laws.
Qualified employees are eligible for:
- Bereavement Leave
- Domestic Violence Leave
- Family Medical Leave (FMLA/OFLA)
- Jury Duty and Witness Leave
- Military, Alternative Service, and Peace Corps Leave

As of March 1st, Washington County will be partnering with UNUM to provide resources for staff who need to access Family Medical Leave (FMLA and OFLA).
