Anderson Predatory Sex Offender Notification

                         SEX OFFENDER NOTIFICATION
                                        Per ORS 181.586

We are asking the community to assist in monitoring the activities of this offender to help promote public safety and this offender's continued success in the community.

Legal Status/Convictions: Mr. Anderson is scheduled to release May 14, 2012 after serving a 12 year sentence for Sex Abuse I and Sodomy II. Mr. Anderson will be residing at the Corrections Center where he will be monitored by center staff and his Parole Officer.

Special Conditions of Probation/Parole/Post Prison Supervision: Mr. Anderson is not allowed to have contact with any minors or go to any place where minors congregate (i.e. parks, schools, arcades). Mr. Anderson is not allowed to use or possess alcohol, drugs, pornographic material of any kind or access the Internet. He will be required to attend sex offender treatment, report to his Parole Officer and take random urinalysis.

Prior Convictions: Mr. Anderson was convicted of the following: 1992 Washington County - Furnishing Obscene Material to a Minor, 1995 Deschutes County - Attempted Sex Abuse I, and 1999 Clatsop County - Sex Abuse I and Sodomy II.

Target Population: Mr. Anderson's target victim population is minor males. He gains access to his victims by making friends with their families and working or volunteering as a basketball coach or at sporting events. He attempts to groom his victims by providing them with gifts and showing them sexually explicit material. Anderson volunteered as a youth basketball coach for 7th and 8th grade boys. Anderson was later caught showing the boys pornography at his residence which resulted in his 1992 conviction. In 1995 while living in Bend, Anderson met his 12 year old victim under the guise of putting together a boys basketball team.
