Commission on Children and Families Hosts Candidate Forum May 6, 2010
The Washington County Commission on Children and Families is hosting a Candidates Forum from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, at the Hillsboro Civic Center Auditorium, 150. E. Main Street. This forum is open to the public and being broadcast live by TVCTV on Channel 30. It will be rebroadcast a number of times prior to the May 18 deadline for submission of ballots.
All candidates for the Washington County Board of Commissioners and candidates for County Auditor and several contested House and Senate primary races for Washington County legislative districts are participating in this forum. Candidates will speak directly to voters and answer questions about their views on critical issues affecting children and families in Washington County.
The May 18 primary election includes elections for three seats on the Board of County Commissioners, including At-Large Chair as well as District 2 and District 4 County Commissioners.
The Washington County Commission on Children and Families is a nonpartisan, volunteer-based organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and families through active community involvement.
