County services moving back to Public Services Building

With the seismic upgrade complete at Washington County’s Charles D. Cameron Public Services Building (PSB) in downtown Hillsboro, several programs in the Department of Health and Human Services will be moving back over the next few weeks. Some key services will not be available to the public during the move.

Environmental Health and Vital Records will be closed on October 11 and 14. The offices will reopen at the PSB, Suite 170, on October 15. Services include food handler cards, food service facility licenses, septic permits, birth and death certificates, and more. Environmental Health’s main phone number is 503-846-8722. Vital Records’ main phone number is 503-846-3538.

Disease Control and Prevention’s (DCAP) Hillsboro office will be closed for appointments October 14-16 and will reopen at the PSB on October 17. Use the entrance with the awning on the west side of the building. DCAP includes public health services related to disease reporting, tuberculosis and school exclusion. Call 503-846-3594 for urgent matters.

The Solid Waste & Recycling office will be closed on October 23, reopening at the PSB, Suite 160, on October 24.
