Public Invited to Tigard WIC Open House

The public is invited to an open house at the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) office in Tigard, which recently relocated to the Hilltop Business Center, 7360 SW Hunziker Street, #200.

The event takes place on Tuesday, January 21, from 4-6 p.m. Refreshments will be available.

In addition to touring the new facility, attendees can learn more about WIC’s services for low-income pregnant women and families with young children; meet and talk with staff, including managers, nutrition technicians and lactation specialists; and network with other professionals and community leaders. Washington County WIC serves 19,000 individuals per year at its three locations in Hillsboro, Beaverton and Tigard. The WIC program focuses on nutritional education and support to low-income pregnant women and families with young children. It includes breastfeeding support groups, nutrition education and vouchers for healthful foods available locally.
